And Don't You Forget It

One of the reasons I created this blog was so that I would have something to go back and read when Blake is older and I start to forget all of the sweet, funny, ridiculous things she does. Lately, she's been so much fun and I thought I better get it all down before she moves on to something else.

I live in constant fear of the, "terrible twos." I try to remind myself to enjoy now and not worry about the future.  She has her unruly moments, but for the most part she's been so much fun.

1. Playing Pretend- When she doesn't think I'm watching she goes in her little teepee and talks to her stuffed animals. Sometimes I catch her laughing. I tried to help her host a tea party, but she just wanted to eat all of her guest’s cookies. Pretend works best when I'm not around.

2. Wearing Mommy's Clothes- She loves necklaces, bracelets, scarves, purses, but most of all she loves my shoes.

3. Snack Time - When Blake wakes up from her nap she has juice and a snack. We usually sit on the bottom step in the kitchen and share the snack. I love this little bit of time together. We just sit and talk. So great!

4. Singing-She's now singing to me! Ever since she was a little baby I’ve sung "Baby Beluga," before bedtime. For those of you who don't know, it's a Raffi tune. All of a sudden she started singing it for me. Now I have a treat for all of you.

Until next time

  1. She already sings better than Mommy and Daddy! I love you both!
