Along with the big birthday we also Mother's Day. Josh was traveling. Did I forget to mention the playoffs were also happening in May! Blake and I took a picnic brunch over to mom's house. We had a very relaxing day. I am so blessed to have my mother so close. She still helps me with so much. I will never be able to show her how grateful I am and how much she means to me.
Once Mother's Day was over, it was on. The world of Yo Gabba Gabba sent me straight to crazy town. I felt like I spent the entire month in Gabba Land. I purchased, printed, cut, glued and tied everything you can imagine. All of my research and crafting was totally worth it. Blake noticed everything. I think the adults enjoyed themselves too. I know Ric is still singing Gabba tunes. My biggest fear was that Josh wasn't going to be able to make the party. There wasn't a game, so was able to get out of practice just in time to make the main event. It was a truly AWESOME day.
Dad and Marsha came to visit on her birthday. Blake gave us a little gift. She finally filled us in on what she has named my dad. He's "Pa." I think this is hysterical. He seemed to take it in stride.
Brian was here the week of Blake’s birthday. The two of the them played for hours. She’s got him eating out of the palm of her hand. She’s been a tough cookie after this grandparent extravaganza. This child is spoiled and not by me! I'm still getting birthday gifts. You can all stop. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by just how many people this little girl has loving her everyday.
It's just so hard to believe that it's been two years. She's changed so much, I've changed so much. Sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago that she was a little baby, sometimes it seems like just yesterday. I can only imagine what the year will bring.
After all the birthday fun came Justin. I've been looking forward to his visit. It's been too long since I've seen him. He had a wedding in town, so I went as his date. It was a great wedding and we had a marvelous time. I would say that the visit was like old times, but Blake really changes things. Blake loves Justin. She thought he was here to play with her, because why else would he come? He was very patient, which is not Justin. She calls him "Jessie," not sure about that one. We laughed a lot and I can't wait to see him again.
This post feels so rushed. I'm never going to learn my lesson. I should post immediately after a big event! It was a whirlwind, but it was great. Thank you all for coming and helping and entertaining. We love you.
Until next time.
