Glad to be back. I haven't had much to say the past month, but that is about to change. We have a new family member and I am beyond excited. Landon James Henderson is my very first nephew, which also makes him my favorite.
I'm not the only one who is excited about this little man. Blake has been talking about him for quite awhile. At least once a week she asked me for his name. I told her that he didn't have a name yet and she would know it once he was out of Aunt Allie's belly. About three days before he was born she decided enough was enough. Blake told me that her cousin's name was Peter Green Bean. I thought it was catchy and told her that I would share her thoughts with her aunt and uncle, but warned her that they might not choose that name. Blake is adjusting to the new name, but L's are a struggle. She's been carrying her baby dolls everywhere and telling me that she can't wait to scare her cousin. Beware Landon.
Landon, I promise to be a great aunt. I know that there are a lot of miles between us, but we're going to do just fine. I'm a great listener. I'm totally into spoiling children who aren't mine. I can keep secrets from parents and grandparents. I'm going to be here for you always.
It's incredible how much you can love someone just because he comes from the people you love. He's beautiful and perfect and so tiny. It's pretty special to have Allie as a friend and a sister and now a fellow mom. Allie and Rory are already great parents. I can't wait to hear all their crazy pukey poopie stories, because they are coming.
Tonight is there first night home from the hospital, which brings back a lot of memories. I'll be praying for them.
I am wrapping up with a few Blake pics. I know you've been missing them, so here you go.
Until next time.
