I've started working on the nursery, which is fun. It's a big change decorating for a boy. Have I mentioned it's a boy? Yeah!!!
Josh told me and others that he didn't care about the sex of the baby. Liar. I told everyone the same thing and I really meant it. During the ultrasound the technician was about to point out the baby's LEG and Josh screamed out, "there's a penis, there's a penis!!!." It was a leg, not a penis. She quickly moved on to show us the penis, since it was clearly on Josh's mind. He spent the rest of the appointment sqeezing my hand. I guess he got what he wanted. The first thing he said, "I can't wait to call my Dad," which I thought was sweet. By the way, I don't think I've ever typed, "penis," that many times.

So, working on the nursery, but Blake's big girl room is complete. She is moved in and sleeping in her big girl bed. I love her new room. If you haven't been to our house, the previous owners had this room painted the most awful shade of pink. Thanks to Chris, Jack, Dad and Mom the room in now yellow and beautiful. Blake wasn't even a little sad about leaving her old room.

With fall coming my summer flowers are slowly dying, but I am happy to report that I kept several things alive the entire summer! I have to mention this and post pictures so that I don't forget to plant these exact same plants next year.

Blake had her first dance class, first class field trip and first dentist appointment since I last posted. I went with her class to the apple orchard. Mrs. Melissa taught the kids how to pick apples and they even got to take a bag home. We hosted a special dinner for Mimi and Pappy where we used the picked apples in our recipes. Delicious!
Dance class has been a hoot. I took a little video so everyone could get a little idea of what Blake's weekly dance experience is like. I adore her teacher. This week I was approached about buying a dance decal to put on my car, but I just don't think I'm there yet.
The dentist office couldn't have gone better. We'd been talking about it and reading books on the subject weeks before the appointment. She was excited. She got a little nervous when we walked in, but the hygienist quickly put her at ease. She has 20 teeth. Everything looked good, except that her bite is terrible from all that finger sucking. Her biggest problem with the appointment was that she had to stop talking to get her teeth cleaned.
Did I get you enough info?
Until next time.

The ultrasound was pretty cool. I didn't realize that I had an opinion until it came out of my mouth. I guess I did. I have missed every dance class but I feel like I have been there because Blake gives me the demo when she gets home. Ellen did an amazing job with Blake's room and the nursery. The extent of my involvement was tying the furniture to the wall so it won't tip over. So far, Ellen's feet are staying a normal size so that is a big change from last time! We're all excited and anxious for the big change coming when our little guy gets here.
