Dean Richard Corbeil

Dean is a month old this week. A month ago tomorrow I was sitting in this very seat writing a post about how frustrated I was about not going into labor. Low and behold, blogging can send a girl into labor! Who knew?

January 5, 2014, or Blizzard Sunday, is Dean's birthday.  I had been in the hospital the night before with contractions, but no big moves so they sent me home. I went into full labor the very next afternoon. Josh drove us back to the hospital in a monster of a snow storm. Luckily for us, the Pacers were playing Cleveland that night, so we had something to watch while waiting for the big arrival. It was time to push with one minute left in the game. The nurses decided we could wait until the game was over!  We turned off the TV, four pushes later we had our beautiful 8 pounds 7 ounce baby boy. Did I mention we beat Cleveland.

Blake adores her brother. She wants to hold him. She loves to burp him and she sings him her favorite lullabies when he's fussy. She's a little upset with me, but we'll manage. We were able to fit a Mommy Blake date into our crazy schedule. Princesses on Ice was spectacular. You all know how I love the princess crap.

Dean is the most handsome baby anyone has ever seen. This is fact. He's a great snuggler, which is a blessing and a curse. He has a birth mark in his hair. There is this teeny patch of hair at his crown that is white. According to my hairdresser it will always be that way. I kind of love it.

I can't believe this is my life. I could have never imagined it. These three people are so precious and I am so lucky.

He's got to visit with some of you, but I can't wait for everyone else to meet him. We're having a lot of visitors in February, so more pictures to come.

Until next time
